Recreation mastered from a very rare original Russian propoganda poster. Great constructionist style poster. Stalin stares at progress. The Russian writing on this poster that would read (In English): The World Proclaims Soviet Air Feats. The poster shows a plane able to travel non stop from Moscow over the north pole to California. By 1938 Russia had claimed some 68 records for distance, altitude, and various "firsts." One of the more spectacular ones was a 6300-mile polar flight from Moscow to San Jacinto, California, in 1937. Before each flight, Stalin met the pilots, discussed their plans, and publicly worried about their safety. Stalin seized on the work of the famous Russian designer Tupolev, who was already developing a long-distance airplane who most likely designed this plane. Printed on 230 gm acid free paper with archival ink; created to last 100 years +. The size of this reproduction is created in a 1 to 1 size to the actual original. (The color pattern is more orange red ... Which is the standard for Russian posters since red was very expensive ink to use in printing)
